Coming before in order of importance. This is the definition of priority. You know that a priority is important, but did you realize that it should come first? Is exercise and good nutrition a priority for you in words or in action? Be honest with yourself! It is easy to say that your health is a “priority” but how often do you miss an exercise session or say “The diet starts Monday”? Make your exercise a priority for instant motivation!
If you are to assign your health as a “priority” then it must “come before in order of importance”. This may mean waking up 20 minutes earlier to get in a walk or skipping pizza in favor of grilled chicken. Put your words into action! Write three priorities on a paper and post it some place you see often. Simply writing your priorities on paper means you are 30% more likely to focus on them and do them! Be sure that one of those three has the words “exercise motivation” or I am motivated too exercise.
Prioritization is the key to goal achievement. The difference between having a goal and living with it is prioritizing the goal! Anyone can have a goal but not everyone does what it takes to achieve that goal. Weight loss is a perfect example of this fact. Many people say they have a goal to lose weight, yet few actually do what is required on a daily basis to achieve that goal. Losing weight is not a mystery. It is not difficult either. You must exercise 3-4 times a week, eat 4-5 smaller healthy meals per day, you must think positively and you must rest and relax. Prioritize these tasks so when you are tempted to watch TV instead of doing a workout you will know which one is the higher priority and there will be no question in your mind as to what to do. Each victory over the temptation to abandon your priorities reinforces your goal and strengthens your confidence. priorities help you determine how to spend your time effectively. You are more productive and make better, faster decisions when you have established priorities. Of course, you will then find that your exercise motivation is at the levels you desire!
21 Day Test
It takes 21 days to form a habit. Right now, write three of your priorities on paper and place that sheet where you will see it every day. Read that paper each day for the next 21 days and act on each priority. At the end of this period you will focus easily on your priorities and feel the satisfaction of attainment
